The Details 

I have found that doing at least 4-5 miles with uphill/downhill every weekend keeps me in shape. I don't have to go fast, I just have to do the mileage. When I have been injured and haven't walked in the hills for a month or so, I have to do 2-4 weekend walks to get back into shape.

Advice 

  • My advice is just to make hilly walking a weekly event year round. Its also good for your mental outlook.
