Cienega Road at Bird Creek

Cienega Road strikes west from Hollister into the Hollister Hills up Bird Creek. At this bend, where Cienega Road turns south, is the entrance to the Hollister Hills Offroad Park. The San Andreas fault runs along the left side of the valley behind it. Bird Creek crosses this valley to the east, bending rightward where it enters, then leftward where it leaves the fault zone. On the left is the Pacific plate, and on the right is the North American plate.
