Central America/Caribbean: Seismic Hazard Map—From the Global Seismic Hazard Assessment Program.

South America: Seismic Hazard Map—From the Global Seismic Hazard Assessment Program.

Chile: Servicio Sismológico—The University of Chile hosts this brief overview of current and historical terremotos (in Spanish).

Costa Rica: Observatorio Vulcanológico y Sismologico—Earthquakes and volcanoes from the Costa Rican Volcanological and Seismological Observatory (in Spanish).

Mexico: Seismic Hazard Map—From the Global Seismic Hazard Assessment Program.

Mexico: El Servicio Sismológico Nacional—A good introduction in Spanish to the tectonics and earthquakes of Mexico, from the National University of Mexico. Start from the "Sobre Sismos" tab or, for easier comprehension, "SSN NIÑOS" (for children).

Mexico: 100 Years of Seismicity—An invaluable map from Prof. Vladimir Kostoglodov's site at the National University of Mexico showing volcanoes and three different types of earthquakes since 1900.

Nicaragua: Departamento de Sismología—A clean home page for news, maps, and background information on earthquakes and other geologic hazards from the national Seismology Department (Spanish).

Peru: Centro Nacional de Datos Geofísicos—Bulletins and background from the National Center for Geophysical Data (Spanish). Not well maintained.

Venezuela: FUNVISIS—The Fundación Venezolana de Investigaciones Sismológicas has recent earthquakes and other information listed for Venezuela.
