View northwest of the Fairweather Range. From here the range looks like a coherent block, as in fact it is. Uplift and seismic activity are intense.

Our last day off the Fairweather Range was bright and fine. After this photo was taken, the Disco moved in close for one last time, then turned east toward Glacier Bay, a spectacular fjord on the other side of the range.
