September 22: "This morning we'd been set to weigh anchor at 9:00, but the laundry was late and the gravity meter needed repair, so it wasn't until 1:00 that we left. It has been almost clear, and sunny, which is (I'm told) a rare treat in this season. My first watch starts after dinner."
This is the photo from which I extracted Split Top Mountain for the Gallery of Peaks. But a longtime inhabitant of Dutch Harbor thinks I'm wrong. Maybe the map is wrong, though. That way, both of us save face.
