FACE sites around the world
There are more than 20 FACE (Free Air CO2 Enhancement) experiments around the world. Each consists of a circle of towers that emit carbon dioxide gas into a piece of vegetated land. The circles can be as wide as 20 meters for forests or as small as a meter for bogs. Except for the CO2, everything is the same inside and outside the circle. Here are some examples, collected from FACE sites listed by the Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center.
Rhinelander, Wisconsin, USA
Braunschweig, Germany
Salmisuo, Finland
Nevada Test Site, USA
Sky Oaks, California, USA
