This aircraft was not the one I rode, but it exemplifies the class, strength and spirit of Alaska bush pilots and their planes. A few hours later the clouds lifted enough for us to launch a different field trip, this time to the south. It pays to have not only multiple working hypotheses, but multiple geologic problems to turn to when you're in the field.
