Buck Peak, California, USA

(c) 2004 Andrew Alden, licensed to About.com, Inc. (fair use policy)

Buck Peak is not to be confused with Bucks Peak, both of which are in the southern Diablo Range in San Benito County. Buck Peak sits near the Panoche Valley, a synclinal trough that runs from almost the Central Valley to almost the crest of the Diablo Range along route 25, between Paicines and Mendota. It is of modest height but harmonious appearance.
