Alberta Phanerozoic Tectonic Features

The Phanerozoic Eon is the geologic time period that includes everything after the Precambrian—the Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic Eras. This map shows the large-scale structures of this period, most of them related to the raising of the Rockies on the west. There are also two ancient impact structures shown, at opposite ends of the province.
