Science Posters

The scientific poster is a staple of meetings, and becoming more important each year as membership in science societies grows. A recent meeting of the American Geophysical Union, the world's largest gathering of geophysicists, held a poster session on "Exploring the Potential of the Poster Format" (see the abstracts). The majority of the posters were typical, but some pushed the boundaries, like one that was hung in pieces by ribbons as a mobile. Other examples are shown here.
