Canada's Official Geological Emblems

In the United States, the majority of states have decreed an official state rock/state mineral/state gemstone/state fossil in addition to the usual state birds, mammals, soils and so on. Australia is the same. But Canada is a bit more modest in this regard: by my count just 7 of Canada's administrative divisions have any geological emblem at all. Is this a good thing? I don't think so.
