Sedimentary Textures You Can See

Geology students can find it daunting to learn about sedimentology, at least at first, because so many of the measurements you have to make when studying sediments and sedimentary rocks are tedious and not always well understood. (Some, of course, geek out on that stuff, and more power to them.) But some basic features of sedimentary texture are easy to get and very useful in describing or even naming a sedimentary rock.
