Here's yet another version of Earth art, created by Los Angeles artist Paige Smith. She finds an openinga missing brick, a pipe opening, whateverand fills the void with crystalline forms made of crisp painted paper. They're beautiful, they're unexpected, and they're temporary. This example was in a standpipe, so naturally the fire people removed it, but I hope they enjoyed it anyway. Smith has documented 11 of her geodes on her website A Common Name.
I think they're worthy of being in the Earth Art gallery.

LOVE Paige Smith’s geode street art! I like street art in general because to me it’s random beauty in places where you may not be smiling before you see it-but afterwards you have that warm fuzzy feeling. She takes it to a whole new interesting level! Thanks so much for your story and info about her.
