For those of you starting an Earth science or geology course, here's my "countdown to geology": Geology in a Nutshell. It's a one-stop hub for the most important and basic knowledge that makes you geologically literate. Once you've bookmarked that, you can move up to the Basics tab on every page for more depth. After that, you're ready to Explore Geology.
