What's on your "geology playlist"?

Friday September 28, 2007
On Wednesday, LiveJournal's "emiwenis" asked the geology group, "Any of you guys have any geology themed songs that you like to listen to? I'm trying to come up with a playlist for no other reason than i'm a huge dork." Quite a list of suggestions has followed, which leaves me with mixed feelings. It's exciting to see so many possibilities, but it's disconcerting that I'm so far behind the musical scene these days. No one mentioned seismologist Andy Michael's Earthquake Quartet #1 (for voice, trombone, cello and seismograms) yet, but that's in my Geology Songs and Music category, which I did mention on LiveJournal.

Speaking of blogging, I've started a very small blog centered on my home town called Oakland Geology. The learning curve makes me a little slow in installing all the bells and whistles, but I'll get there.
