gold barGold, if you haven't noticed, has been on a tear lately; right now its price is hovering around $650 per ounce, according to Pitpundit. When that happens, all sorts of mining prospects look interesting. But ever since the Bre-X mining scandal of 1997, where greedy managers overlooked clear signs of tampering, people have been extra careful. Nevertheless, if you read the Bre-X story, you'll see that ordinary business safeguards eventually carried the day.

any geologists fallen from helicopters near Valle de San Felix? understand some nasty ecological damage is planned by Barrick Gold (Canada). ‘Google’ Pascua Lama … urban ledgend? somehow i don’t think so.
