2003-2032 Quake Odds for S.F. Bay Area

A few years ago the geological authorities got together and updated their consensus on the risk of damaging earthquakes in the San Francisco Bay area. They looked at a 30-year period, because that corresponds to the typical home mortgage, and estimated a 62 percent chance of a magnitude 6.7 or greater quake striking during that period. Details in the risk map they issued.
