What Is Geology's Nobel Prize?

This year's Nobel Prizes are being announced for achievements in physics, medicine, economics, literature, peace, and chemistry. In mathematics, the Fields Medal is the equivalent. In geology, there's——what? I've looked around, and while there is one award that comes close, even it doesn't have Alfred Nobel's touch of genius, the criterion that sets the Nobel Prize above all others.
