Reading geologic maps

Putting geology on a map is somewhat more complex than the usual roads and borders -- there are faults and folds and structural features, not to mention a hundred different rock types of equally many different ages. But the results, when they're done right, are beautiful maps that put more information on paper than any other form of print. This article gets you started.
