Bruce Bolt, 1930-2005

Wednesday July 27, 2005
Bruce A. Bolt, a giant figure at the intersection of seismology and earthquake engineering, died last week from pancreatic cancer. The San Francisco Chronicle's David Perlman wrote a notice in yesterday's paper, and the Berkeley Seismological Lab has a memorial page up for him.

As of Thursday, I've added Bolt to the Biographies list, and I've updated Keiiti Aki's entry, since I see that he too died recently.
