The Tin Men

The mining people of Cornwall have worked their rocks since before Roman times. This long history has marked the Cornish character and infused the Cornish culture with character traits that they carried all over the world. The Cornish miners left a golden thread of progressivism and communitarianism that rises again and again in American history. Be sure and see the updated link to the "history of the knockers." (I don't mean these kinds of knockers, either.)
