Surface rupture at Parkfield

Monday October 18, 2004
The geologists have been combing the ground along the San Andreas fault in Parkfield, California, after the 28 September earthquake. The California Geological Survey has a page with current results, including photos of road cracks and such. There was some surface rupture, none of it greater than 5 centimeters. And see lots more data and photos at Ramón Arrowsmith's Parkfield page at Arizona State University.
