Sag ponds

Friday October 15, 2004
I drove along a fascinating stretch of the San Andreas fault Monday. I knew I had found it when I saw these textbook sag ponds in a linear valley at the south end of Carrizo Plain National Monument. Another visit to this region and I can put together a proper photo tour. Find them in the Landform Gallery.
