Eruption at Awu

Tuesday June 8, 2004
The Indonesian volcano Awu is reported to be erupting, forcing the evacuation of over 10,000 people. At least two people have died. Awu volcano is on the island of Sangihe, off the north tip of Sulawesi in Indonesia's most obscure quarter, due south of the Philippines. Here's the latest from Google News, but look for scientific details from volcanolive.com and the other links in the Current Volcanism category.
