We all have our individual sweeties to honor today, but let's spare an affectionate thought for this fine planet we inhabit, too. With that in mind I've opened a new Subject devoted to "geology poetry," whatever that may mean. And modesty forbids that I mention a poem freshly posted here, a Valentine to Earth.
