Unaccustomed as I am to public speaking...

A friend who recently visited a bunch of western national parks has invited me to look at the photos after supper and talk about their geology . . . samples here. I feel a bit like an after-dinner speaker! It also makes me recall childhood evenings, watching vacation slides on that big scroll screen as the projector whirs and clicks.

That must date me. Nowadays people show images on their monitor, and that's what my friend will do. Maybe I'll take the captive audience through my Joshua Tree photo-tour.
