Geology on the big screen

I saw "Smilla's Sense of Snow" recently, and the scenery and atmosphere were awesome. But I had to laugh out loud when the villain, a mining company president, was taken down by a thrown rock hammer.

Geology and geologists don't seem to get good treatment in the movies. Remember the fiasco that was "Volcano"? Remember "Dante's Peak"? Come talk about the subject in the Forum.
